I nearly said out loud “we only THOUGHT neon colours were flattering”, then the reality of the other two statements hit me.

I loved the 80′s. I still love the 80′s. The gaudy, glamerous and gorgeous 80′s, where we all looked so silly, and yet had so much fun.

Who’d have realised it was so full of deception and deviants!

THAT is the truest sign of those years, wasn’t it? Back then we would drink from a garden hose, or run barefoot through the yard, or *openly* listen to some of the gayest crap we could find while rocking fluorescent sweat bands and holding out “boomboxes” on our shoulders, next to our over-sprayed hair.

I’m glad I don’t do *all* of that stuff anymore.

I just spent twenty minutes reading your post and daydreaming about my Wham mirror, Bros posters and facination with Madonna…

Wham have gone their separate ways with George far too interested in wrapping his car round trees nowadays. I have no idea what happened to Bros but I still have my Christmas card from Matt wrapped safely – just in case anyone remembers him. Madonna is now a wrinkled version of her former self who isn’t even half as sexy.
