There is indeed mysterious baking juju in the air, but it’s jumbled with malicious pixie dust or something. In my mad rush to make apple crisp after work yesterday (driven to bake by some force outside myself, yet still not completely familiar with my new hometown), I got completely turned around on my lovely walk about the Maple”hood”, ended up back at the train station (because my phone isn’t smart enough to give me directions)and I shuttled home to start my journey over. And then Whole Foods closed. Tuesday apple crisp was not meant to be.
